Cody and more July 20th - 21st

We had the wonderful privledge to have Ben's parents and brother Dave and his family join us on the East side of Yellowstone Lake for a going away lunch, and farewell swim for the cousins. Ben's parents continued on to accompany us for a tour of the Buffalo Bill museums in Cody, WY. The museum has five distinct 'museums' in one. We only had time to go through the natural history, Indian history and a quick walk through the firearms. We truly enjoyed the tour along with the wonderful dinner at the park.

That night, we continued on to Thermopolis, WY in hopes of having a dip in the mineral hot springs in the morning. The morning brought 90 degree temperatures and the hot pools were even hotter. The dip in the pools no longer sounded appealing. We continued on through eastern Wyoming to drive mile after mile of grass lands and rolling hills. Our entertainment was not counting sheep, but counting ANTELOPE. We topped out somewhere around 300.

We were very fortunate to find a lovely, quiet campsite in the Blackhills National Forest that evening - South Dakota.

What's South Dakota like? I have never been there before. And who is this lady you are always hanging out with who wear's the BYU-Idaho shirt? Does she work there or something or is she just trying to promote their school so your children attend?

I would highly recommend it, especially since there is now a temple on school grounds!

South Dakota is rolling hills with bails upon bails of rolled grass. Corn started to become common as we headed south towards Nebraska. And the badlands - they were amazing.

YES I would love the B. Nye children to attend that school that I'm promoting with my Tshirt --- but they don't seem to be paying attention to me. I did wear it on the Panama cruise to make a statement --- but NO ONE even commented on it --- so perhaps there weren't any Mormons on our ship. Well actually I knew a few, but we were trying to avoid them.
