We have fallen in love with upstate New York, well almost. We didn't particularly care for the toll booths. This time it was a lot more than 15 cents. The communities seemed to be very straight, clean and orderly. We stayed overnight near Lake Cayuga, one of the twelve finger lakes. Except for the lakeweed (seaweed), the cool 80 degree water made for a nice swim. We drove south through Syracuse, Scranton PA and into New Jersey.

I also love upstate New York, a beatiful place. I loved the finger lakes that we saw south of Palmyra ---Canandaigua to be exact. The Nye sisters had a hard time remembering what it was called for some reason.
